First time visitor to this venue. Great comedy event. Spacious main hall in good condition. Clean and well maintained. Would have been 5 stars had the bar been slightly nicer - very basic. Staff all friendly and helpful.
This venue was easy to find in Rugby. .well sign posted from train station. Bar on premises was quite pricey but well managed. The venue itself was a bit grubby and in need of spruce up ..couldn't get parked ..not even in overflow car park so had to find somewhere else to park that wasn't too far. .parking there was £3 for the whole day which was very reasonable

I did not visit the "Hall of Fame" a shamelessly commercial offering based upon Rugby Football. I went to the Rugby Art Gallery, which as usual presented a beautiful exhibition of paintings drawings, prints and mixed media. well worth the offering. Many of the works are from the "Rugby Collection" Ignore the Blandishments of the "Hall of Fame" (which costs money to view) in favour of the Art Gallery and Museum which proffer an absorbing exhibit of lasting value for no admission fee. Worth climbing the stairs to the second storey. (there is a lift for those less able)
Just seen the "about face" exhibition of Rugby Art Gallery. This is a seriously good permanent collection, this time focussing on portraits and the artists self image. Very impressed by the info about artists, and the sheer quality of 20th. And 21st. C. Art. Well worth the climb up the stairs !!! (Or take the lift)
